Description
I am selling AS-IS for parts or repairs with no returns for any reason. Folks this
Collins Model 30L-1 HF Amplifier
is in
incredible cosmetic condition
. I would say
"Collector Quality"
if previous owner did not
upgrade the RCA RF input connector to a PL-259
. You now have
PL-259 for RF Input and RF Output
. This amplifier has been
sitting for many years
so I
expect you will need to replace filter capacitors
. It does have the
(6) original Sprague 100uF@450V
and they are date coded 6139 the
39th week of 1961
. Always I have planned to rebuild power supply board and put in fresh set of 811A output tubes,
there are no output tubes
and that is the way I purchased. This is a project that will go to next owner. This one is so clean it is like it was in a time capsule and that is the reason it is worth the effort. I
do not know if it is wired for 120 or 240
. I did (no tubes) bring up voltage with variac and meter started moving (good) and I had meter on plate connector of 1 tube, with 10 VAC in I had 90 VDC on plate then fuse went. My best guess is filter caps bad or need reforming over period of time. The
paint on the case is original and 95% perfect
, maybe a chip or two but best I have seen.
Inside is clean as a whistle
. Because I have no way of knowing condition
I am selling AS-IS for parts or repairs with no returns for any reason
. If it does not sell I plan on purchasing a set of 811A and filter caps in winter. I will charge a
flat shipping
and if UPS shipping is less
I shall refund excess
the day I ship.
YOU ONLY PAY ACTUAL SHIPPING
. Any questions please ask. Thank You//Larry
