Module Description:
OPA549 is a low-cost, high-voltage/high-current operational amplifier, which is very suitable for driving various loads. This laser trimmed monolithic integrated circuit provides excellent low-level signal accuracy and high output voltage and current.
OPA549 module adopts dual power supply by default, OPA549 has internal overheating protection function conditions and current overload. In addition, OPA549 provides accurate, user-selected current limit. Unlike other uses of power resistors and output current paths, OPA549 indirectly detects the load. It is suitable for motor-driven speaker drivers, transformer drivers and audio amplifiers. It can also amplify triangle wave, sine wave, and square wave signals.

Precautions:
(1) The power consumption of the module is large, and the power supply needs to have a certain margin. It is recommended to use a power supply with a current drive capacity greater than 2 times the required output current. The module can only be powered by dual power supplies.
(2) In order to avoid unnecessary interference, it is recommended to use a linear power supply. An electrolytic capacitor of 50V/470uF or more can be connected in parallel at the input end. The power supply should not exceed plus or minus 30V.
(3) It is recommended to use a good wire to observe the output signal. Poor contact or poor quality wire may cause signal attenuation or excessive noise.
(4) It is recommended to use low-resistance wires for power output, otherwise it may cause excessive line loss and unstable power output.
(5) Due to the high power consumption and heat generation, pay attention to ventilation and heat dissipation during long-time high-power operation.
(6) Since the module has a fixed magnification, it is recommended to confirm the output power and amplitude before loading to avoid damage to the module.

FAQ:
Q: Is the magnification fixed? How to adjust it?
A: The default magnification of the module is 6 times. If you need to adjust the magnification, you can weld a potentiometer to adjust the magnification, or change the resistance value. Please refer to the above description for the calculation formula.
Q: Can the module directly drive the coil?
A: The module can drive the coil, but the internal resistance of the coil is required to be greater than 2Ω. If it is less than 2Ω, it is recommended to connect a power resistor in series, otherwise the module may be damaged.
Q: Can the module amplify square waves or pulses? What is the bandwidth of the module?
A: The module can amplify low-frequency square waves or pulses. Because it is an audio amplifier, the total bandwidth is not high, signals within 100K can be amplified, and the module is compatible with DC input.
Q: Can the module amplify 1:1? That is, only amplify current?
A: The module can support 1:1 amplification, you need to modify the resistance configuration magnification by yourself. It is not recommended to directly configure to the op amp follower mode, which is easy to self-excite. It is recommended to change to resistance attenuation first, and then operational amplification. The total gain is 1. That's it.
Q: Why is the input sine wave output as a square wave? What is the output current? What is the output power?
A: Generally speaking, if the input signal is too large, the operational amplifier will be amplified with cut-off distortion, which is a square wave, or the power supply voltage is not enough. It can be solved by reducing the input signal and increasing the supply voltage. In the constant voltage mode, the output current of the module is determined by the output voltage and load, I=Uout/R, and the output power P=U*l, which is also determined by the output voltage and load resistance.
Q: Is it possible to output AC constant current?
A: The module has positive and negative power supply, and can output AC constant current in constant current mode.
Q: Why is there a turn-off signal on the output waveform?
A: When the DC signal is turned off, it is recommended to reduce the power supply. When the AC signal is turned off, it is recommended to increase the frequency. Generally, it will not be turned off above 50Hz.
