The PE15A7000 from Pasternack is a rackmount variable gain RF amplifier that operates from 100 MHz to 18 GHz. The amplifier has integrated digitally controlled attenuators that boast dynamic range up to 60 dB with a 1 dB step size. The unit has an attenuation control knob on the front panel, but also has an RS-232 control feature. By connecting the serial cable (included accessory) from a remote PC computer to the 9 pin d-subminiature connector at the rear of the unit, commands may be sent controlling the attenuation levels. The amplifier has SMA RF Input and Output Connectors.
